Food/ film/ discussion
6.30pm - 10pm
Britain in the 1990s, a time of easily obtained benefits, student grants, massive free parties... and a militant and growing opposition to the Tory road building program.
This newly made feature length documentary charts the direct action campaign, occupations, and hard fought evictions of the camps along the 9 miles of the proposed route for the construction of the Newbury Bypass in 1995/1996.
For some it was about the road, for some about capitalism, and for some about the wood pixies. Come and eat, watch the film, then let's think and talk about politics then and now.
Food will be served from 6.30pm and then the film will start at 7.00pm with an informal discussion afterwards.
