From Huddersfield and coming to Leeds fresh from their recent European tour. They play an intense and beautiful music dominated by strings and guitar. Their atmospheric and cinematic sound is uniquely their own and inspired by both eastern and western music. Mysterious, anagogic, and powerful - to get a feel of their work think of artists like Sigur Ros, Godspeed, and Marie and the Atom.

The Mesmer Disciples
Leeds based, creating an all-enveloping throbbing and entrancing psychedelic rock experience of two guitars, vocals, drums, and the occasional tamboura. Like a stoned early Cramps jamming with the Buffalo Springfield. Indeed - menacing, experimental and at times unhinged. Gorgeous, subversive, and completely mesmeric!

Michael Canning
Arranger and leader of Leeds band Mass Spectrometer - combines three minute guitar tunes with spoken word, big beats, loops, and found sounds/field recordings. He has just released his second solo album 'Cordyline australis' and his work has been compared to the Elephant 6, Tall Dwarfs, Gil Scott-Heron, Can, and Soundgarden.
