Songs from The Roadhouse:
The house band from The Bang Bang Bar plays songs inspired by Twin Peaks: The Return. Gotta light? Let’s rock.

Hidden Giants

Hidden Giants blend Alt. Country and U.K. Indie. They fuse plaintive melodies and powerful harmonies with electric guitars, resonant piano, powered by strong rhythmic bass and drums. They tell narratives of hope, loss, courage and love.

The song writing explores historic figures, structures and experiences which communicate contemporary issues and concerns, which have both personal and universal resonance. Their sound is original: a rich bi-vocal led approach which crosses many influences and decades.

Hidden Giants formed in 2015 and (after a few line-up changes) released a home-produced debut EP, ‘Flickering Bulbs’. Returning as a 5-piece in 2020, with a new bassist and singer-keys player, brings a full and heavier approach to alt-country, drawing on a wide range of influences from The Cure to Wilco; from Aimee Mann to Black Box Recorder; from Lana Del Ray to Suede; from Cat Power to The Auteurs; from Phoebe Bridges to The Smashing Pumpkins; from Marika Hackman to The Smiths; from The National to Interpol. Their sound is melodic, dulcet, dark, intense, angry but also gentle.

Their forthcoming EP ‘Foundations’, was recorded at Greenmount studios and mastered at Hippocratic mastering. It is released on 20/02/2020. The leap forward is palpable as this EP eclipses the previous work, as they deliver a stunning, compelling sophomore release.

The State of Georgia

The State of Georgia is a 7-piece alternative pop band lead by singer / songwriter Georgia Jakubiak.

Georgia has self released four studio albums, the most recent “Roses and Swallows” includes single “stay awake” which gained radio plays on bbc6 music and bbc introducing.

The new live band consists of some of Leeds and Wakefield’s finest musicians including Gary Stewart (Hope & Social) Matt Colmer (Surface Waves) Harry Rhodes (Piskie Sits / One Day After School ) Meghann Clancey, Kath Hartley and Sarah Newcombe.
